The 2026 Tahoe comes standard with the 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 (355 hp / 383 lb-ft) on every trim except High Country, where the 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 (420 hp / 460 lb-ft) takes over as standard equipment. The 6.2L V8 is also available as an upgrade on RST, Z71, and Premier when you want extra muscle for towing or passing power.
For long highway runs and serious torque, the Duramax 3.0L turbo-diesel inline-six (305 hp / 495 lb-ft) is available on LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country, delivering up to 624 miles of EPA-estimated maximum highway range per tank. All three engines pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
