It is assembled at GM’s Arlington Assembly plant in Arlington, Texas — the same metro area where our customers drive it.
The 2026 Tahoe comes in six retail trims: LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. Three engines are spread across them. The 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 with Dynamic Fuel Management makes 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 steps up to 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft. The Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel inline-six makes 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft, the most torque in the lineup, plus an available EPA-estimated maximum highway range of up to 624 miles per tank. All three engines pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard on most trims. Four-wheel drive is available across the lineup, and it is standard on the Z71.
